The candidate should have hands-on experience in finite element modelling, structural dynamics, modal analysis, and vibration analysis using CAE tools. The ideal candidate should have experience in automotive or mechanical engineering simulation projects and a good understanding of structural behaviour, vibration characteristics, and engineering fundamentals. Roles and Responsibilities • Perform CAE pre-processing, solver execution, and post-processing activities as per project requirements. • Conduct Modal Analysis to evaluate natural frequencies and mode shapes of components and assemblies. • Perform vibration and structural dynamics analysis to assess component performance. • Work on NVH simulations to identify resonance issues and vibration-related concerns. • Prepare finite element models using HyperMesh, equivalent pre-processing tools. • Work with solvers such as OptiStruct, Nastran, depending on project requirements. • Analyze simulation results and prepare technical reports with recommendations for design improvement. • Collaborate with design, testing, and validation teams to correlate simulation results with physical test data. • Ensure model quality, accuracy, and adherence to project-specific engineering standards. Required Technical Skills • 4–6 years of relevant experience in CAE/FEA with a focus on NVH and structural dynamics. • Hands-on experience in modal analysis, natural frequency evaluation, and mode shape interpretation. • Good understanding of vibration fundamentals, structural dynamics, and resonance behaviour. • Proficiency in HyperMesh for finite element modelling and pre-processing. • Working experience with OptiStruct and/or Nastran solvers. • Strong knowledge of meshing techniques, material properties, boundary conditions, connections, and model setup. • Ability to interpret simulation results and prepare technical reports. • Understanding of simulation quality checks and engineering validation processes. Preferred Skills • Experience in automotive or mechanical engineering NVH projects. • Knowledge of frequency response analysis, harmonic response, and random vibration analysis. • Exposure to experimental modal analysis and correlation between CAE simulations and physical test results. • Familiarity with CAD tools such as CATIA or Siemens NX. Educational Qualification • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. Key Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good understanding of engineering fundamentals. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to simulation quality. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to manage project deliverables and meet deadlines. Ideal Candidate: A CAE Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in NVH and modal analysis, hands-on HyperMesh expertise, and working knowledge of OptiStruct or Nastran.
