Description Job Type: Temporary - around 3 months Shift Schedule: M-Th, 6a - 4pm Salary: $18/hour ** Pre-employment background check and drug screen required Production Worker/Forklift Job Duties Packaging Operation • Operation of packaging equipment, including bag feeder, pallet jack and shrink-wrapping machine • Ensure bags are stacked appropriately on pallets, and are positioned for placement in the warehouse • Accurate completion of production reports • Taking pellet samples for quality control testing • Labeling/tagging wrapped pallets with required quality control information • Other duties as assigned Forklift/Warehouse Operation • Operation of forklift in the warehouse and other production areas to move, transport and stack wrapped pallets of wood pellets in a neat and orderly fashion. • Operate forklift to load trucks for delivery, ensuring all required paperwork has been filled out and signed • Count and record pallets for inventory purposes • Stack junk pallets until they can be disposed of properly • Maintain communication with co-workers and control room leads on status of work • Other duties as assigned Production Worker/Forklift Job Requirements: • One to two years forklift operation experience in an outdoor setting • Production line experience in an industrial setting highly preferred • Will be bending/lifting around 50 lbs bags throughout the shift • Will be working indoor and outdoor settings • Will be surrounded by sawdust • Must possess good eye, hand and foot coordination • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task • Ability to immediately understand and react to verbal safety commands, audio alarms, and written hazard alerts in English in a Manufacturing setting. • Proficient in English to accurately read, interpret, and execute equipment lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols and machine operation manuals. • Sufficient English verbal skills to clearly and instantly report machine malfunctions, near-misses, or unsafe floor conditions to supervisors and team members. • This role operates in the immediate vicinity of fast-moving, heavy automated equipment. Clear, real-time communication and strict adherence to English-language safety signage are mandatory for workplace safety. #IDWest
