Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Programmatic o Manage and direct the daily execution of contract requirements to assure that cost, schedules and performance goals are met. o Develop strategies and vision for projects related to emerging technology in capability development. o Develop and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident. o Exercise capability development process (formally JCIDS), Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), and DoD acquisition processes o Support documentation, staffing, and compliance with applicable policies and governance structures o Assist in aligning capability efforts with strategic guidance (e.g., NDS, service strategies) Capability Development Support o Refine and document capability gaps in support of requirements development, refinement, and staffing o Ensure traceability from strategic guidance to capability requirements o Coordinate across Air Staff, MAJCOMs, and Combatant Commands sponsors o Facilitate integration between requirements, acquisition, science & technology (S&T), and operational stakeholders Analytical & Technical Support o Oversee mission engineering, operational analysis, and trade studies to inform capability decisions o Evaluate alternatives and support courses of action (COA) development Have a minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience in above areas. A solid professional reputation in above mentioned communities. The ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoW, military/civilian personnel and industry partners researching, producing, and disseminating products. Solid leadership and management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”. Strong communication skills - written and verbal, presentation. Solid problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Successful track record in managing aerospace/defense programs. Knowledge and expertise in capability development and integration including MS&A activities that support programs within the USAF. 12 months or more of experience in a SAP environment within the last 3 years highly preferred.
