This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving customer satisfaction, resolving quality and manufacturing concerns, and supporting operational excellence from production through delivery. Acting as the key liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, the Automotive Site Technical Manager collaborates closely with Quality, Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Applications, and Procurement teams to ensure customer requirements are met and business objectives are achieved. The position plays a critical role in supporting new product launches, improving customer performance metrics, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. In this role you will: • Serve as the primary technical and customer support contact for assigned Automotive OEM, Tier 1, Outside Processor (OSP), and Industrial customers within the designated region. • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while serving as the primary liaison between Arconic and customers following commercial negotiations. • Lead efforts to improve customer satisfaction, quality performance, and customer scorecard results through proactive engagement and issue resolution. • Develop and execute strategies and action plans to address customer concerns and achieve performance improvement objectives. • Coordinate customer support activities related to product flow disruptions, manufacturing challenges, quality concerns, and supply chain issues. • Partner with internal stakeholders including Quality, Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Product Applications to ensure customer needs and expectations are met. • Facilitate customer meetings, technical reviews, quality discussions, and ongoing business communications. • Support containment activities, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and customer claims management. • Participate in OEM quality meetings and customer-driven improvement initiatives. • Support and coordinate activities associated with new model launches and product introductions. • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to customers, sales teams, and manufacturing operations. • Assist Field Service Engineers and customer support resources with issue resolution as needed. • Champion continuous improvement efforts through participation in Kaizen events and operational excellence initiatives. • Lead Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities and facilitate customer feedback reviews to drive business improvements. • Monitor customer performance metrics and identify opportunities to enhance service, quality, and operational effectiveness. • Travel throughout the assigned region to support customer sites, meetings, audits, and project activities as required. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution and relevant work experience • Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing aluminum and/or blanking environment • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a broad range of individuals and functions both inside and outside the organization • Microsoft Office knowledge especially in Word and Excel • Experience in automotive industry #LI-NW1
