Responsible for the daily operations of the medical office including, but not limited to, scheduling patients, setting up patient accounts, answering phones, insurance verification, data entry and ordering office and medical supplies. This position also assists as needed with patient care activities including preparing patients for examination, obtaining, recording patient vital signs and phlebotomy. Works in a normal patient care area or office environment where there are relatively few physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, noise and the like. Works with equipment or performs procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.
