Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services. • Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure • Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained • Completes all clinical supply inventory • Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests Job Requirements Required • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire Preferred • Associate's degree or • One year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound Where You'll Work St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital is a 100 bed facility serving residents of Fort Bend County and Southwest Houston.
