The AIMS Rehab Counselor II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER facilitates consumers in the AIMS Program in their recovery; assist in the achievement of their maximum recovery, and independence in life.  Key Responsibilities: - Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance abuse and mental health issues. - Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. - Educate clients and their families about substance abuse, mental health, and available community resources. - Stay informed about the latest developments in substance abuse counseling and mental health treatment. - Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare systems. - Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to enhance their recovery and prevent relapse. Qualifications: Required Education: - Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.  Required Experience: - Minimum of Three-year direct experience with persons having neurobiological brain disorder (SPMI) and substance abuse disorder preferred -  Experience in working with consumers involved in supported employment Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong understanding of rehabilitation counseling principles and practices. - Ability to assess client needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate client records. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion. - Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing rehabilitation counseling.
