Academy Bus is seeking a B/C Diesel Bus Mechanic or our Bridgeport, CT location. $2500 Sign On Bonus! Must have experience working on Van Hool, Temsa, and Prevost Buses. Familiar with Cummins and Detroit engines. Must have own tools according to level. Earn $23.00-$34.00 per hour. Pay rate based on candidate experience level. Responsibilities:  Diesel Mechanic – Class B / Level 2 • Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses • Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance • Inspections and road tests • Warranty and repair documentation • Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as: brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages. • Respond to road calls • Basic welding/fabrication • Assist A Level Mechanics with skilled work and train/supervise C Level Mechanics Responsibilities: Diesel Mechanic – Class C / Level 3 • Repair, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of modern tour buses • Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance • General lubrication functions such as: Oil/filters, air filters, chassis lubrication, transmission fluids/filters, differential fluids, axel/wheels. • Inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components under supervision such as: Brake components, suspension components, tires, and seats. • Warranty and repair documentation • Assist A and B Level Mechanics with skilled work Requirements: • Must have experience working on diesel buses • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required) • Basic Computer skills • Own hand tools according to level Health Insurance and Benefits Offered Include: • Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription and Life insurance • Supplemental coverages • 401K plan • Paid time off and holiday pay Academy is an equal opportunity employer Diesel Mechanic, Bus Mechanic, Motorcoach Mechanic, Motorcoach Bus Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Bus Technician, Motorcoach Technician, Motorcoach Bus Technician, Diesel Bus Technician, Diesel Motorcoach Technician, Diesel Motorcoach Bus Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Bus Mechanic, Diesel Motorcoach Mechanic, Diesel Motorcoach Bus Technician, Class B Mechanic, Class B Diesel Technician
