Good Faith Pay Range: In accordance with Virginia law, the good-faith pay range for this position is $94,640-$113,880 per year. The Director of Nursing for the Practical Nursing program is responsible for the administration, planning, implementation and evaluation of the Practical Nursing program. Responsibilities Students • Oversee the admission, academic progression and graduation of students. • Evaluate student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives. Faculty • Interview and select nursing faculty who are qualified and contribute to the program and student outcomes. • Supervise and evaluate program faculty including in-class reviews of each instructor. • Orient new faculty to policies and procedures of the University and the program. Program • Provide evaluation and feedback to the program on course materials, current changes in practice, standards of practice, and student accomplishment of course and program outcomes. • Plan and lead program Advisory Board meetings. Professional Development • Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education programs and academic courses. • Ensure program faculty remain current in trends, issues and practices in the field, as well as effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
