Job Description: Medical Assistant - Urology (Bilingual Russian/English) Location: Brooklyn, NY Hours/Days: 5 8.5 Hour Shifts; Monday - Friday (8am-6pm)) Organization: New York Health (NYH) - Urology In this role, you will: • Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording. • Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests. • Record patients' vital signs. • Prepare patients for examinations. • Sterilize medical equipment and instruments. • Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process. • Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures. • Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing. • Other duties as assigned. We require: • A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma • Bilingual in English and Russian • Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred) • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching • Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. • Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs What we offer: Salary: Starting at $25 per hour Benefits: Including health insurance from day one, dental and vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401k, generous PTO, 8 paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays), and more.
