Tutor Doctor of North Jersey is seeking dependable, caring tutors to provide personalized, one-to-one academic support to elementary students in grades K-6. We’re looking for tutors with daytime availability, ideally between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, to work with students in Ramsey, Mahwah, Wyckoff, and nearby communities. This is a part-time, supplemental opportunity for tutors and educators who value meaningful work and consistent student relationships. Subjects may include: Reading, Writing, Phonics, Elementary Math, Study Skills, and general school support. Responsibilities • Provide individualized, in-home tutoring tailored to each student’s needs • Build foundational skills in reading, writing, and math • Support homework completion, skill development, and confidence • Communicate student progress and goals with parents • Collaborate with the Tutor Doctor team regarding student needs and scheduling • Submit clear and timely session reports after each tutoring session Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred (education or related field a plus) • Prior tutoring, teaching, or academic support experience with elementary-age students preferred • Patience, warmth, and the ability to keep young learners engaged • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Daytime availability, ideally 9:00 AM-12:00 PM • Reliable transportation for in-home sessions • Ability to commit ideally through the school year What We Offer • Flexible daytime scheduling • Competitive compensation • Ongoing support from a local team • Long-term student placements
