Deployment Engineer 📍 Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite) ✈ Up to 20% Domestic & International Travel 🏢 Polar Field Services, Inc. supporting the TaaraConnect Program 📈 Employee-Owned Company (ESOP) Build the Future of Global Connectivity Polar Field Services (PFS) is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer to support the TaaraConnect program, an innovative wireless communications network delivering high-speed connectivity through Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology. This role is ideal for an experienced telecommunications, networking, or field engineering professional who enjoys a combination of technical problem solving, deployment work, international travel, and working with cutting-edge technology. What You'll Do • Conduct site surveys and assess deployment readiness. • Install, integrate, align, and commission wireless communication systems. • Perform optical and RF alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and network turn-up activities. • Coordinate and manage deployment logistics for domestic and international installations. • Train and oversee local contractors during deployment projects. • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to resolve technical challenges. • Develop and improve deployment procedures, documentation, and best practices. • Support network operations and incident response activities as needed.
