Job Description Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible). At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field. Full Time Flex Security Officer (Cleared) available at a R & D site in Niskayuna NY $25.00 / hour : $20.00 / training rate Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance Must have a valid clean driving record Applicants must meet at least one of the following: 2+ years Military, Law Enforcement, or First Responder experience Associate Degree in Criminal Justice (or higher) 5+ years verifiable industrial security experience All qualifying experience must be within the last 10 years. Additional requirements: U.S. Citizen 21 years of age or older RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism • Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information • Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points • Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel • Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms • Act as a first responder in emergency situations QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience • Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment) • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment • Must possess one or more of the following: • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site • Prior military experience • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills • Exceptional customer service skills • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): • Prior law enforcement or armed security experience • Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field Why Join Us: • Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more. • Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities. • Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance. • Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.
