As a Barista, you will: Shift: 6am-2:30pm | Pay: $10.15 per hour plus tips • Provides excellent guest service while making quality, hand-crafted beverages. • Responsible for educating guests about our premium coffees, teas, gelatos, and menu items. • Prepares and sells coffee drinks, such as espresso, café latte, and cappuccino, by following recipes and preparation techniques. • Operates electronic cash register system to accurately and immediately account for transaction payments; transports monies to and from the main Credit cage. • Delivers guest orders. • Ensures guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responds to guest complaints. • Maintains equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing cleaning and preventive maintenance. • Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases, shelves, and displays clean and well stocked, while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of products. • Maintains a clean and welcoming dining room with attention to detail, sanitation, and safety. • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. • Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters. BRING US YOUR BEST. • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. • Previous cash handling experience a plus. • Ability to communicate effectively with others; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. • Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. • Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred. • Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. • Previous Starbucks/barista experience an asset. • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues. • Ability to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as business needs dictate.
