Overview A lovely, casual family in Cobble Hill is seeking a full-time housekeeper to help maintain and organize their four-story brownstone. The family has three children, ages 15, 12, and 8, a afternoon- nanny, and a dog. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM with some flexibility with hours is appreciated when family needs arise. The family is warm, approachable, and understanding. They value open communication, clear expectations, and a comfortable, respectful working relationship with the people in their home. Responsibilities The primary focus of this position is housekeeping, organization, and day-to-day household management • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized home, including all four floors of the brownstone. • Establish and maintain organizational systems throughout the home, ensuring everything has a designated place. • Proactively identify tasks that need attention and take initiative without requiring constant direction. • Manage household supplies, including ordering and replenishing essentials. • Assist with grocery shopping and other household errands as needed. • Receive, open, unpack, and put away packages and deliveries. • Manage seasonal wardrobe changes and clothing organization. • Help keep the household running smoothly by anticipating needs and staying ahead of daily tasks.- • Occasionally walk the family dog once a day, if comfortable doing so- if not they will hire someone else. Qualifications This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who enjoys working with a kind, down-to-earth family and takes pride in making a household feel organized, comfortable, and well cared for • Has strong housekeeping and organizational skills. • Is naturally observant and takes initiative without needing to be asked. • Enjoys creating systems and finding practical homes for household items. • Has basic cooking skills, which would be a significant plus. • Is flexible to rarley but occastional help support with the children if needed. Requirements • Ok to work in a home with a shedding 40 pound dog • Is comfortable with a four-story home and frequent stairs. • Is comfortable working in a busy, active family household. Salary and Benefits • Compensation is $45 per hour, • plus an additional $600 per month. • PTO
