Activities Director Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Transitional Care Unit (TCU) Westborough, MA 01581 Come join a team who recently received US News & World Report's excellence award for "BEST TRANSITIONAL CARE UNIT for 2025"!!! • Part time, 28 hours, 8am-3:30pm Prerequisites: • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; BS in recreational therapy or related field preferred. • At least 2 years experience working with the elderly. • At least 1 year experience in Elderly Recreation Program or successful completion of the Activities Director's Basic Course. • Able to read, write and speak English. Primary Functions: • Plans, schedules and implements therapeutic recreation program of individual and group activities based on resident's needs, abilities and interests. Documents those needs in the resident's care plan. • Plans, schedules and implements room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms. • Maintains activity attendance, adequate supply of materials and observes infection control procedures related to the Activity Program. • Other duties as assigned as outlined in the job description.
