POSITION OVERVIEW • Provide exceptional technical leadership, support, and mentoring to the wider team with a commitment to project delivery and commercial performance • Represent the firm on site for a large-scale construction project in New York City • Lead the analysis and design of structural systems for a wide range of building types • Join a global engineering consultancy with an inclusive, diverse practice WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY STANDS OUT • Represent the firm on site for a large-scale New York City construction project • Annual discretionary bonus • 4 weeks of PTO plus 10 paid holidays • 401(k) with company match • Hybrid working and summer hours • Reimbursement for certain professional licenses, renewals, and exam fees • Connection to a global network of industry experts • Wide range of learning and development opportunities SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT • New York-based structures team • On-site representation for a large-scale construction project in New York City • Site observations, site meetings, and field responses to contractor queries • Hybrid working and summer hours KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Set a strong example of client care and general consultancy, and support the regional team to do the same • Represent the firm at internal and external design team meetings, providing project leadership • Build and maintain sustained, productive client relationships across the region • Represent the firm on site for a large-scale New York City construction project, conducting site observations, participating in site meetings, and responding directly to contractor queries in the field • Lead the analysis and design of structural systems for a wide range of building types in accordance with applicable building codes • Manage and mentor engineering and drafting staff while overseeing preparation of contract documents, including drawings and specifications • Participate in project technical and quality reviews • Strengthen the firm's structural engineering reputation across a range of project sizes and types in the region • Represent the firm externally through local industry groups and events COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Salary based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience • Annual discretionary bonus • Generous benefits package • 4 weeks of PTO plus 10 paid holidays • 401(k) with company match • Hybrid working and summer hours • Reimbursement for certain professional licenses, associated renewals, and exam fees • Learning and development opportunities • Employee resource groups and forums, including young employee, diversity and inclusion, women's, and Black employee networks Requirements • 10+ years of significant experience leading structural engineering projects or teams across a variety of sectors REQUIRED • Experience leading structural engineering projects during the construction phase REQUIRED • Master's degree REQUIRED • Licensed as PE and/or SE REQUIRED • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and company-wide staff • Confident, proactive character with a track record of taking the lead • Proven track record of client relationship management and project delivery • Strong interest in work-winning • Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they don't meet all requirements
