Full description

As part of a Finance Operations team, you will understand operations and bring an automation and AI-First mindset to help design and build frontier solutions for our most complex operational challenges—navigating scale, data governance, and compliance to re-engineer the future of our processes. As an AI and Automation Solutions Architect, you will be a builder and a change agent. You will not just map out strategies; you will rapidly prototype, test, and deploy AI-driven solutions that replace manual workflows with intelligent, scalable automation. Operating with a high degree of independence, you will bypass traditional, slow-moving development cycles by utilizing AI-assisted development ("vibe coding") and low-code solutions to prove value instantly. You will act as the tip of the spear, showing the broader organization what is possible and accelerating our adoption of AI at scale. This role requires both an 'architect' and 'builder' mindset. We advocate operational excellence while enabling our Operations Leaders to leverage frontier technologies to solve their most complex challenges. You will bridge the gap between technical potential and operational execution, collaborating closely with a set of partner teams. You will grow in ambiguous, changing environments and will be passionate about shaping the future of AI-native operations, to make a massive, global impact. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $128000 - $187000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities • Transition finance operations processes to an AI-first approach, replacing legacy workflows with generative AI and agentic workflows. Partner with process and operations managers to re-envision and redesign their processes with an AI-first mindset. • Design, build and iterate on "vibe-coded" AI prototypes to proof-test solutions. • Bridge technical gaps across Product, Engineering, and Finance, seamlessly transitioning agile prototypes into scalable, enterprise-grade production systems. • Establish a future-proof FinOps architecture that enables seamless integration of emerging AI capabilities and maintains strict data governance and scalability standards. Create highly impactful partnership with key engineering teams to be at the forefront of AI across multiple systems and platforms Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent practical experience. • 7 years of experience in Engineering, Product Management, Technical Project Management, or a Finance Operations (Q2R, S2P, H2R, A2R, etc.) role, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree. • Experience designing, building or deploying functional apps/workflows utilizing LLMs and GenAI Agents. Preferred qualifications: • Experience designing, testing, and integrating APIs or other solutions to connect disparate systems. • Experience using Google’s AI ecosystem (e.g., Vertex AI, Gemini, Google AI Studio) alongside AI-assisted coding tools. • Proficiency in SQL and utilizing data pipelines to measure, analyze, and optimize system performance. • Understanding of data governance, privacy compliance frameworks, and AI guardrails. • Track record of optimizing business operations by replacing manual, legacy workflows with scalable technical infrastructure.
