Full description

The Events and Experiences team brings the magic of Google to life through physical experiences that make our brand tangible, human, and shareable. You will collaborate across teams and departments to create delightful, one-of-a-kind experiences that leave a lasting impression. As a Senior Event Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of Google’s most high profile, high-stakes flagship moments including YouTube Brandcast (our premier annual upfront showcase for top advertisers and agency leaders). Other key events may include major projects across the team including creator summits, industry tentpoles, internal events, etc. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of live entertainment, digital culture, and commercial marketing. You will orchestrate multi-million dollar budgets, direct industry-leading production and creative agencies, partner with A-list talent and top creators, and influence executive Google/YouTube executives (VP/SVP) to deliver unforgettable brand moments that drive measurable business results. Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $171000 - $247000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities • Lead the goal, planning, and execution for marquee YouTube flagship events (including Brandcast), aligning event objectives with broader business priorities and YouTube brand strategy. • Drive breakthrough experiential design, spatial branding, interactive product demos, and VIP hospitality activations that capture the cultural zeitgeist of the YouTube creator economy. • Direct and inspire top creative, production, technical, and experiential agencies. Author Statements of Work (SOWs), negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), enforce SLAs, and hold external partners to the highest standards of craft and operational excellence. • Manage project budgets with fiscal forecasting, vendor reconciliations, and resource allocation. Define success metrics, lead post-event ROI analyses, and present actionable insights to executive leadership. • Establish robust contingency plans, live show run-downs, and protocol risk mitigations for high-visibility live broadcasts and multi-thousand-attendee venues. Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. • 9 years of experience in events marketing. • Experience working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams. • Experience managing external creative, production, or experiential agencies and vendor ecosystems. Preferred qualifications: • Experience leading executive-facing, high-capacity live shows (e.g., Upfronts, arena keynotes, broadcast specials, or global tier-1 industry conferences). • Experience managing multi-million-dollar event budgets and leading large-scale agency ecosystems (RFP to reconciliation).
