About the Role ACE Group is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to join our Procurement Department in Kharian. You will inspect and verify delivered goods, construction materials, and equipment against approved purchase orders. Before anything is accepted and passed for payment, you will confirm that its quality, specifications, condition, and quantity all meet the approved requirements. Your inspection records directly support three-way matching and payment clearance. That makes this a key control role, protecting the Group from paying for materials that are short, damaged or don’t meet specification. The role suits someone who is careful, values integrity, and is comfortable working on site and travelling between project locations. Responsibilities Delivery Inspection & Verification • Inspect delivered materials and goods against approved purchase orders, specifications, quality standards, and quantities. • Verify construction material quantities, including sand and aggregate measurements in cubic feet (CFT), with the Civil Department and Quantity Surveyor. • Work with relevant departments to confirm the technical specifications and acceptance of specialised goods and equipment. • Verify contract-based monthly supplies delivery by delivery. Inward Documentation & GRNs • Make sure Inward Gate Passes are recorded. • Prepare accurate Goods Received Notes (GRNs) with specific material descriptions and verified quantities. Discrepancy & Non-Compliance Reporting • Identify, document, and report rejected, damaged, short or non-compliant deliveries to the Procurement Officer. Record-Keeping & Payment Support • Keep delivery inspection and quantity verification records to support three-way matching and payment clearance. • Keep complete inspection records in the relevant entity and site procurement files. Site Coverage • Travel to assigned project sites and delivery locations as required. Requirements Qualifications & Experience • DAE / Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field • 2–4 years of relevant experience in site QA/QC, materials inspection or stores inspection. • Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, quality standards and quantity measurement techniques. • Able to inspect goods against purchase orders and keep accurate GRN and inspection records. • Experience in GRN and inward documentation and in reporting defects and discrepancies. • Proficient in MS Excel and basic documentation systems. Soft Skills & Leadership • Attention to detail: accurate in measurements, inspections and records. • Integrity: independent and objective when accepting or rejecting deliveries. • Communication: reports discrepancies clearly and promptly. • Coordination: works effectively with Civil, Quantity Surveying, Procurement and user departments. • Record management: keeps documentation organised and audit-ready. • Flexibility: willing to travel between project sites and delivery locations.
