Position sumamry: This position will support both the general Urology and Urodynamics clinics. Key responsibilities: • Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic). • Working with interdisciplinary team including other clinical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, child life specialist and administrative staff • Assisting clinicians during invasive and noninvasive procedures. • Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed. • Maintaining, cleaning and ordering department specific equipment. • Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures. • Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions. • Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse, advanced practice provider and or physician. • Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems. • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks. • Working Monday-Friday, 5-8 hour shifts. • Rotating to Boston and Waltham sites. Minimum qualifications: Education: • A HS Diploma or equivalent. Experience: • 1 year of Clinical Assistant/Nursing experience. • Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred. • Procedural experience preferred.
