This position is responsible for providing personal assistance to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living. Job Description • Provide Home Making Services as required: Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations. • Provide additional assistance as required. • Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident. Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift. • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Qualifications Level of Formal Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Area of Study: General Education Years of Experience: 0-1+ years Type of Experience: General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation. Language Skills: The ability to understand and speak the English language. Personal Attributes: Patience and compassion for the elderly.
