Drive technical leadership and strategy across New Product Introduction efforts to influence device architectures and repair approaches that balance product experience, manufacturability, repairability, and sustainability objectives for high-volume Surface and Xbox products. Lead concurrent engineering activities including prototype development, design-of-experiments, and physical analysis, to validate new technologies and system-level design attributes that enable robust, repeatable repair. Develop and scale next-generation process technologies and equipment that enable efficient factory and field repair; define manufacturing control plans and critical parameters to ensure quality, safety, and reliability. Partner with legal, policy, and cross-functional product teams to translate global sustainability and right to repair legislation into clear product design requirements, influencing product architectures and repair methods. Own assessment and analysis of transformation, repair, yield, and capital costs; identify and drive cost reduction opportunities, supply chain and manufacturing strategies, and product tradeoffs that improve repair economics and operational performance. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field AND 5+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, hardware development. Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, hardware development.
