• Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. • Experience with navigation system integration in military unmanned aircraft. • Knowledge navigation data processing, Kalman filters, and fusion techniques. • In-depth knowledge of navigation technologies, aviation regulations, and safety standards. • Experience with air data systems, aircraft sensors, and embedded computing hardware. • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python is desirable. • Proficient in the use of Matlab and Simulink tools. • Experience with developing, implementing and testing visual navigation algorithms such as terrain image matching is strongly desired. • Experience with using radio frequency signals of opportunity as navigation aids and the associated design, integration and testing of associated algorithms and nav subsystem is strongly desired. • Experience with Software-In-The-Loop (SWIL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) simulation and testing is strongly desired. • Experience with implementing and testing autonomy, collaborative engagement, artificial intelligence, and machine learning algorithms is desired. • Experience with guidance and control algorithms, simulation models, hardware, and software is desired. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance is required.
