Full description
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Engineering Manager III (PEM III) to be the Engineering lead for complex $70M program initiative. The PEM leads the engineering effort for the entire program, ensuring the solution meets customer programmatic and technical requirements within the allocated engineering cost and schedule. The PEM provides technical responsibility and leadership to cross-functional teams through the design, development, and deployment of a new, scalable Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, allowing for the streamlining of product development and lifecycle management across the Aerospace & Mission Systems (AMS) organization. The PEM represents the technical team to program managers, functions, and executive leadership, and provides responsibilities for developing the overall technical solution for a product/system.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Oversee the integration of the PLM system with existing enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MIDAS, IHDS, etc.), as well as manage interface and capability variances, and direct all data migration activities from 3DX Enovia to the new system, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and security.
• Create and manage a detailed deployment plan for the new PLM system to USD and NSS users, considering impacts to current 3DX Enovia users and active/future programs.
• Act as the primary engineering contact for the project, regularly reporting status to the EOC, ELT, and ESLT. This includes facilitating collaboration across disciplines and business areas.
• Ensure the project roadmap aligns with the business’ Digital Engineering strategy and guides the implementation accordingly.
• Prioritize security requirements, business needs, and risk reduction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and manage the project team, fostering skill development and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the Program Manager and functional staff to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance goals, delivering a new PLM system that meets customer needs.
• Ensure adequate training and support materials are provided to over 7,000 users.
• Ensure proper process application based on project complexity and maintain metrics to track engineering performance.
