This position provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by our Quality of Life Specialists/Resident Assistants. All private rooms, beautiful environment with tenure staff. 12 hour Available Shifts: • Day: 6:30AM - 7PM • Overnight: 7PM - 7:30PM What You'll Do: • Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising. • Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed. • Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated. • Transfers, transports and escorts residents as need. • Answers signal lights promptly. • Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly. What is Required: • Successful completion of an Illinois State approved nursing assistant training program. Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred. Registration with Illinois State registry required. • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
