Full description
Note: This role is ringfenced to a specific group of colleagues. Please only apply if you have already been invited to do so.
About the role:
The Business Analyst delivers high-quality requirements analysis, discovery, and process documentation across a range of assignments – including embedded squad delivery, pre-initiation discovery work, and standalone analytical projects directed by the Senior Manager – Business Analysis and Discovery. The role works independently on initiatives of moderate complexity, applies the BA chapter's standards consistently, and contributes to backlog and discovery quality across all assignments. It is a delivery-focused role with no direct reports.
You Will:
BA Delivery and Standards Application
• Apply and uphold BA chapter standards — including definition of ready compliance, artefact quality, and traceability — across all squad and non-squad assignments.
• Produce well-formed requirements, process maps, and analysis artefacts that meet the chapter's quality framework.
• Contribute to backlog refinement on assigned squads and ensure discovery outputs from standalone projects are documented to the same standard.
• Escalate requirements quality issues or scope ambiguity to the Senior Manager – Business Analysis and Discovery.
Requirements & Process Analysis
• Deliver requirements analysis, process mapping, and discovery work across assigned squads, pre-initiation discovery projects, and standalone analytical assignments.
• Translate business intent into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to the chapter standard.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, SME sessions, and discovery interviews — producing structured documentation that enables squads or decision-makers to act without ambiguity.
• Raise complex requirements issues or cross-squad dependencies to the Senior Manager, Business Analysis and Discovery
Stakeholder Engagement
• Engage business stakeholders, SMEs, and subject matter owners across both squad assignments and standalone discovery or project work.
• Discover needs, validate requirements, and document decisions in a form that is useful to both delivery teams and senior decision-makers.
• Act as an effective analytical interface between business context and technology delivery — adapting communication style to the audience and assignment type.
Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing
• Actively contribute to BA chapter continuous improvement — sharing lessons learned, reusable artefacts, and analysis patterns from both squad and non-squad assignments.
• Participate in BA chapter sessions facilitated by Senior Manager or other team members.
• Seek and apply feedback on requirements quality to raise personal practice standards over time.
Solution Validation and UAT Support
• Support UAT on assigned initiatives — contributing to test scenario definition, coordinating SME participation, and ensuring delivered solutions meet agreed acceptance criteria.
• Maintain requirements traceability on assigned work, linking business objectives through to test evidence.
• Escalate UAT issues or acceptance gaps as required.
You Have:
• Experience in business analysis with demonstrable experience delivering requirements across squad delivery and discovery or project work.
• Demonstrable experience delivering requirements analysis on technology programmes of moderate complexity.
• Experience working across different delivery methodologies — Scrum, Kanban, and project-based delivery.
• BCS, IIBA, or equivalent BA certification.
• Experience in a multinational or global association/membership environment.
