Full description
Note: This role is ringfenced to a specific group of colleagues. Please only apply if you have already been invited to do so.
About the role:
The Project Manager delivers technology initiatives within the Engineering and Technology Delivery function – operating as Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead depending on what the initiative requires, under the direction of the Lead Manager – Project Services. The role applies agreed delivery methodology standards, maintains RAID logs, facilitates squad delivery rhythms, and keeps initiatives on track through clear communication and proactive risk management. No direct reports.
You Will:
Initiative Delivery Execution
• Deliver assigned initiatives — operating as Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead as the initiative and methodology require.
• Maintain delivery plans, sprint boards, and milestone trackers to the standards set by the Lead Manager – Project Services.
• Keep initiatives on track through clear dependency management, proactive risk flagging, and timely escalation.
• Escalate delivery blockers and cross-squad risks to the Lead Manager – Project Services or other Project Services colleagues promptly with a clear description of the issue and initial options for resolution.
RAID Management and Reporting
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date RAID logs on assigned initiatives — recording risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies consistently and ensuring all items are actively owned and tracked to closure.
• Produce regular delivery status reports for the Lead Manager – Project Services and SM – Technology Delivery.
• Distinguish delivery risks from technical risks, routing the latter to the Tech Lead.
• Feed delivery data accurately into the Lead Manager – Delivery PMO governance reporting process.
Squad Facilitation and Collaboration
• Facilitate squad delivery ceremonies — sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and reviews — when operating in a Scrum Master or Delivery Coach capacity.
• Remove process-level blockers from the squad's path.
• Work collaboratively with Tech Leads, QA Engineers, BAs, etc — contributing delivery management input to definition of ready conversations, release planning, and cutover coordination.
• Communicate delivery progress, blockers, and risks clearly in language that non-delivery squad members can understand.
Stakeholder Communication
• Manage working-level stakeholder communications on assigned initiatives — providing regular delivery updates, managing expectations around scope and timeline, and escalating senior stakeholder issues to the Lead Manager – Project Services.
• Produce clear, accurate delivery reporting that gives stakeholders confidence in the initiative's progress.
Learning & Continuous Improvement
• Maintain and grow delivery skills across project management, Scrum facilitation, Kanban flow management, and delivery lead disciplines.
• Apply feedback from Project Manager peer reviews to raise delivery quality.
• Participate in project services community sessions and contribute lessons learned.
• Complete required training and compliance activities.
You Have:
• Experience in project management, Scrum mastery, or technology delivery with demonstrable experience working across more than one delivery methodology.
• Experience maintaining delivery plans, RAID logs, and delivery reporting on technology initiatives.
• Experience working within Agile or squad-based delivery environments
• PRINCE2 Foundation, PMP, PSM I, PMQ, or equivalent delivery certification.
• Experience with delivery tooling (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
• Experience in a multinational or global organisation.
