Full description

Location: West Virginia (Mountain State Region) Employment Type: Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered) Start Date: As Soon As Possible Relocation: Relocation candidates welcome. Enjoy an affordable cost of living in a beautiful mountain setting. About the Practice Join a well established, community rooted veterinary group operating three clinic locations across West Virginia. This practice has built a strong reputation over the years for personalized, attentive care and lasting relationships with the pet owners and animals it serves. The team is close knit, collaborative, and proud of the trust the surrounding community places in them. The practice offers a full range of services, including preventive and wellness care, medical treatment, surgery, and diagnostics, all delivered with a hands on, patient first approach that reflects the practice's small town values. Why This Role Exists A valued part time veterinarian who has been part of the team for eight years is transitioning to a new career path over the next couple of months. This is a planned, amicable departure. It creates an opportunity for a new veterinarian to step into a supportive, well run practice with an established caseload and steady patient volume. The practice currently has two full time and two part time veterinarians. Patient volume comfortably supports adding another full time veterinarian, making this a genuine growth opportunity rather than a stopgap hire. What You'll Do • Provide comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, primarily cats and dogs • Perform preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, and client education • Diagnose and treat medical conditions using in house diagnostic tools • Perform routine and soft tissue surgical procedures • Provide routine care for exotic and pocket pets, referring complex cases to outside specialists as needed • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets • Collaborate closely with a small, experienced team of veterinarians and support staff • Participate in shared on call or emergency coverage as needed (details discussed during interview) What We're Looking For • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited institution • Active or eligible veterinary license in West Virginia • Experience with small animal medicine and surgery (new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered) • A collaborative, patient, and community minded approach to practice • Comfort working in a close team environment where every team member's contribution matters • Willingness to build long term relationships with clients, similar to the tenure and trust the departing veterinarian built over eight years Benefits • Relocation support available for the right candidate • Opportunity to join an established practice with steady patient volume and a loyal client base • Additional benefits such as health insurance, PTO, CE allowance, and licensing or dues reimbursement to be detailed based on practice offerings JOB ID: 180590 #post Michelle Quashie
