As a Residential HVAC Lead Service Technician, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems while helping develop the next generation of HVAC professionals. HVAC Lead Service Technician Requirements & Qualifications • Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience; 10+ years preferred • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with residential furnaces and air conditioning systems • Ability to independently diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues • EPA certification required; Universal certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 3 months • NATE certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Ability to explain repair options and preventative maintenance recommendations to homeowners • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record • Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology for service documentation • Willingness to participate in emergency on-call rotation • Residential boiler experience is a plus HVAC Lead Service Technician Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems • Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment issues • Recommend repair and replacement options based on customer needs • Deliver professional, knowledgeable service while building customer trust • Mentor apprentice technicians and support hands-on technical training • Communicate technical challenges and training needs to the Service Manager • Maintain accurate service records and follow established safety and quality standards • Support occasional light commercial service needs Why This Opportunity Stands Out This isn't a company where you're just another technician running calls.
