About the Opportunity
A well-established electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead electrical construction operations across one or more branches. You'll have full P&L ownership, lead project management teams, and oversee delivery on large-scale projects, including critical power and data center work. The role suits a hands-on leader with strong financial skills, deep electrical construction experience and a passion for developing people.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Leadership: Own full branch P&L, including costs, revenue, billings, projections, margins, gains and fades, commitments, AR and AP. Analyze performance metrics, find root causes and lead corrective action with the team.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor and develop project managers and project teams. Define roles, assess strengths and gaps, build feedback loops and create career paths.
• Estimating & Change Orders: Oversee project and change order estimates. Identify scope and scope gaps, coordinate vendor and subcontractor quotes, and negotiate change orders with customers.
• Scheduling & Planning: Build and manage schedules that line up with the general contractor's schedule. Use pull planning and work breakdown structures in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Preconstruction & VDC: Lead a detailed preconstruction process from contract award through field mobilization. Oversee 2D and 3D modeling, prefabrication and kitting, and field layout technology such as robotic total stations.
• Process & Systems: Roll out, train on and enforce documented processes across financial and project management platforms.
• Customer & Industry Relationships: Build long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, vendors and stakeholders while protecting the company's interests. Represent the company at industry and networking events.
• Safety & Culture: Foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement. Work with leaders across regions and travel regionally to support project teams.

• 4–5 years of management experience leading construction project teams, with a focus on electrical systems and installations
• Proven record of delivering multiple large-scale electrical construction projects safely, on time and within budget
• Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing project management teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, contractors, vendors and stakeholders
• History of working with cross-functional teams to reach project goals and promote safety and efficiency
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Willingness to travel within the region as needed

• 10+ years of experience with critical and emergency electrical infrastructure or data center projects
• Strong electrical estimating background, including estimating software, scheduling and budget management
• Advanced skills in project management software and Microsoft Office
• Experience with VDC, prefabrication and field layout technology

• Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives
• Comprehensive benefits package
• Senior leadership role with real autonomy and growth potential
• Stable, growing organization with established systems and support
