A rapidly growing and highly respected manufacturer of laboratory products is seeking a Sales Representative to drive business growth across the Midwest United States. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated recent graduate or early-career professional with a scientific or life sciences background who is interested in building a career in technical sales.
The ideal candidate is motivated to develop as a sales professional and enjoys building relationships, developing new business, learning technical products, and supporting customer accounts in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. Previous sales experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in combining science and sales.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and expand relationships with new and existing laboratory customers throughout the Mid West territory.
• Drive territory growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
• Manage a healthy sales pipeline and customer activity through a CRM platform.
• Collaborate with internal sales and customer support teams to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, and on-site visits to strengthen partnerships and close business.
• Represent the company professionally at customer locations, industry events, and throughout the sales process.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific field preferred.
• Recent graduates and early-career professionals with a strong interest in technical/scientific sales are encouraged to apply.
• Previous sales, customer-facing, laboratory, research, or industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated interest in developing a career in consultative sales, business development, and account management.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information to customers and prospects.
• Comfortable with prospecting, initiating conversations, and developing new customer relationships.
• Ability to use CRM software and other business tools to manage customer activity, pipeline, and opportunities—or willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large territory.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–55% throughout the assigned territory.
Why This Opportunity?
• Join a financially stable organization experiencing continued growth.
• Manage an established territory while expanding market share.
• Work with innovative laboratory solutions serving a wide range of scientific and research customers.
• Enjoy a high level of autonomy with the support of an experienced leadership team.
• Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and significant career growth potential.
If you desire to work in Life Sciences and have a passion for science and sales, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss this confidential position with you.
