Multi-Unit Restaurant Group | Greater Boston Salary: $120,000–$150,000 A growing multi-unit restaurant group is seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team in a newly created position. This is an exciting opportunity for a financially astute leader who enjoys digging into the details, identifying opportunities, and building the systems and processes that help a business operate more efficiently. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and financial discipline while partnering closely with ownership and the operational team to create a stronger foundation for the future. What You’ll Do • Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a multi-unit restaurant operation. • Analyze costs, profitability, and operating performance to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and financial results. • Develop and implement financial and operational systems, processes, and procedures. • Establish stronger reporting, accountability, and financial controls across the organization. • Partner with Operations and Culinary leadership to improve labor costs, food costs, purchasing, and overall restaurant-level profitability. • Coordinate with the bookkeeper and outside accounting and tax professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. • Oversee cash flow management, financial planning, and the development of meaningful business performance metrics. • Evaluate capital expenditures, operational investments, and opportunities for continued growth. • Help build the infrastructure and processes needed to support a growing restaurant group. • Serve as a trusted financial and strategic partner to ownership and executive leadership. What We’re Looking For • Proven experience in financial leadership, preferably within a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality environment. • Strong entrepreneurial drive and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the business. • Demonstrated experience building or rebuilding financial and operational systems, processes, and procedures. • A hands-on, analytical approach with the ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions. • Strong understanding of restaurant-level economics, including labor, food costs, prime cost, and profitability. • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. • The ability to work effectively in an evolving organization where there is significant opportunity to make an impact. • A personality that aligns with a collaborative, transparent, and accountable leadership culture.
