A growing private equity firm is seeking a Business Development Analyst to help identify and develop acquisition opportunities for one of its portfolio companies. This is a business development and deal-sourcing role—not a traditional finance position. You’ll research companies, connect with business owners and intermediaries, build relationships, and identify businesses that may be acquisition opportunities. What You'll Do • Research and identify potential acquisition targets • Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and follow-up • Build relationships with business owners, founders, brokers, and investment bankers • Qualify potential acquisition opportunities • Maintain and manage your pipeline in the CRM • Document conversations and provide qualified opportunities to the M&A team • Use data and AI-powered tools to improve sourcing efforts What They're Looking For • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, sourcing, or client development • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with business owners and executives • Competitive, persistent, and results-driven • Organized and comfortable working with CRM systems and data • Bachelor’s degree; strong academic performance preferred • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint • Interest in private equity, M&A, and business development Private equity experience is not required.
