Gastroenterology – Northeastern Minnesota • Opportunity for a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a physician-led, integrated healthcare delivery system. • Practice out of a state-of-the-art, 350+ bed tertiary referral center opened in mid-2023. • Facility features an outpatient endoscopy unit and side-by-side clinic with 8 endoscopy suites, a motility lab, and 2 dedicated hospital endoscopy rooms. • General internal medicine hospitalist service manages all GI admissions; GI functions strictly as a consultative service. • Subspecialty interests (IBD, liver disease, esophageal diseases, etc.) can be accommodated. • Call schedule goal is a minimum of 1:8. • ERCP and EUS experience is not required. • Team includes 11 advanced practice providers supporting outpatient visits and inpatient consultations (including weekends). • Current physician group consists of four general gastroenterologists, one GI hospitalist, two incoming general gastroenterologists, and one therapeutic endoscopist with casual support. • Growth goal is to reach 8-9 general gastroenterologists and 3 advanced endoscopists. • Medical school affiliation provides teaching, research, and outreach opportunities. • Compensation features a guaranteed base salary with production incentives for the duration of employment (not an RVU-based model, no buy-ins). • Starting compensation of $715,000 (greater of base or equal share of pool), with potential eligibility for additional bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based pay. • Located in a scenic waterfront region with a regional service area of nearly 500,000 residents. • Community offers excellent school districts, options for urban or rural living, and short commute times. • Situated approximately 2.5 hours from a major metropolitan area, with convenient access to a local international airport handling daily commercial flights.
