At the level of Principal EEG Technologist it is expected that the individual show self-direction. This is a part time EEG technologist position at the telemetry EEG lab at our UCLA Medical Centers. This position may require you to rotate to other and future UCLA sites as well. It is expected that the individual be capable of performing routine and long-term EEG setup with minimal supervision. The basic rudiments of EEG acquisition should be second nature. Artifact detection/elimination skills should be adequate. The technologist should be able to describe EEG findings in a review style format to assist physicians in preparing EEG data and to be flexible enough to learn new protocols i.e. Adult and Pediatric Telemetries, ICU continuous EEG, Outpatient, Portable Studies. You may provide support at our Ronald Reagan, Santa Monica and West Valley Medical Center Hospitals. A minimum of three years of experience in the related fields is required for the Principle EEG title. Those who do not meet those requirements will be considered for the EEG Technologist or Senior Technologist title based on credentials and years of experience.
