Position Overview dormakaba is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II based in Indianapolis, IN. This position supports reliable plant operations by independently performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on a wide range of production and facility equipment. The position contributes to training and guiding entry-level technicians, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and driving equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is First Shift (6:30AM – 2:30PM) with a base pay range of $32/hr. – 40/hr. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. Please visit our career site for more information on benefits. $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) What you will do • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks in Cribmaster, ensuring accurate scheduling, documentation, and completion • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes • Conduct intermediate electrical troubleshooting and repairs (sensors, switches, wiring, VFDs, motors); escalate complex PLC or controls issues when needed • Fabricate, align, and install parts and assemblies using machining, welding, and precision measuring tools • Support equipment changeovers, rebuilds, and installations to improve performance and extend equipment life What we require • High school diploma or GED • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes) • 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent technical training/apprenticeship • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes) • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics Physical demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
