About the role: Westinghouse is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at different Nuclear Power Plants within the Unites States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activates. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activates. Types of tasks Jr RP Technicians may be assigned to perform or help perform include the following: · radiation and contamination surveys · material and equipment surveys · material escort · Help with ALARA planning · Help with decontamination activities · support of Site Emergency Plan Qualifications: · High School Diploma or GED · Workers must train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. · Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge · Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
