• Take ownership of complex automation projects from initial design through to commissioning and customer handover • Work with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives and 6-axis robotics on bespoke industrial machinery • Earn up to £60,000 including allowances, with regular opportunities for international travel The Company An established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in bespoke industrial equipment, with a strong focus on technical innovation, quality and delivering tailored solutions to customers worldwide. The Role As a Software & Controls Engineer, you’ll lead the control systems design and integration of complex machinery, covering PLC/HMI programming, robotics, safety systems and MES integration. You’ll work closely with mechanical engineers and customers, supporting projects from initial specification through to testing, installation and commissioning in the UK and overseas. Requirements • Degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Experience in PLC and HMI programming, ideally using Siemens and Mitsubishi, alongside servo drive commissioning. • Experience with complex machinery, control system integration and commissioning, with knowledge of machinery safety standards. • Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship and willingness to travel regularly, including internationally.
