Summary This position is with Child and Youth Services at the Redstone Arsenal. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: At least 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Duties Develops and follows efficient, consistent and safe bus routes for routine trips (e.g., to and from school) to minimize transportation time. Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips. Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis. Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance facilities. Completes a comprehensive written inspection of the bus daily, reporting any concerns to the supervisor before transporting children/youth. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job. Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15 passenger vehicle.
