Summary This position is located at the Automotive Skills Center within the Business Operations Division. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid. Duties Assists senior mechanics in performing comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a variety of combustion-powered vehicles. Performs removal and replacement of standard automotive parts such as spark plugs, belts, hoses, brake shoes, water pumps, and mufflers under direct supervision. Aids in making crucial vehicle settings and adjustments, including setting engine idle and timing, adjusting brakes, and gapping spark plugs. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by strictly observing all environmental, safety, and security protocols. Utilizes standard and metric automotive hand and powered tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: possess a high school diploma or the equivalent from a trade school (MUST BE UPLOADED AT TIME OF APPLICATION), AND possess creditable job related experience in automotive repair (MUST BE DISCOVERABLE IN YOUR RESUME), AND possess six (6) months of progressively general experience AND a minimum of six (6) months of specialized experience in automotive work (MUST BE CLEARY IDENTIFIED WITH "MM/DD/YYYY - MM/DD/YYYY" IN YOUR RESUME), AND have basic knowledge of automotive repair, AND ability to use standard and metric automotive hand and powered tools, AND ability to operate a motor vehicle.
