Description Staff Ultrasound Technologist must: · Have an associate degree in sonography, from an institution accredited by the CAAHEP, that prepares students to sit for the certification exam. Staff Ultrasound Technologist Duties: · Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern · Report to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attention · Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure · Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results · Schedule outpatient procedures for Radiology · Manage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment · Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members Requirements Education: • Postsecondary (Cert/Diploma/Program Grad) graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology program (required) • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology (preferred) Licenses/Certifications: • (S) ARDMS or ARRT - Sonography or equivalent credential (RDMS or CCI) Upon Hire or within facility-specified timeframe (required) Experience: • 1+ years clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging (preferred) • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred)
