Your future role at a glance • Location: Wichita, KS • Facility: Ascension Via Christi West ER • Department: Emergency Department • Schedule: Day Shift l Full-time | Three 12 hour shifts (11am-11pm) per week with rotating Weekends and Holidays #NextGenHealthcare How you’ll make an impact in this role • Perform direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and attending physicians. • Obtain and record accurate vital signs upon arrival and during reassessments. • Perform clinical tasks and immediately report critical results to medical staff. • Assist patients with transfers, positioning, hygiene, and mobility using proper body mechanics and equipment. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): • One or more of the following: • Paramedic credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • Emergency Medical Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • One or more of the following: • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Additional Preferences: • 1 year of EMT experience • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. • Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
