Summary: Under direction supervision; assist in the evaluation of patient status and provides basic bedside respiratory care (determined prior to hire in the organization – subject to change as skill levels increase.) Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, assist in the evaluation of patient status and provides basic bedside respiratory care (determined prior to hire in the organization - subject to change as skill levels increase). Displays abilities to perform specific procedures associated with respiratory therapy to the patient following a prescribed treatment plan by the physician and company policies and procedures. Performs patient/family education and maintains all necessary related documentation. Must have basic understanding of respiratory disease procedures. Demonstrated interest in professional growth and development; ability to scheduling/placement designations determined prior to hire in organization. Must have good customer relations skills and basic computer skills. Requirements: Education/Skills • High School diploma or equivalent. • Current student enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program. Experience • Previous hospital experience preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) Work Schedule: PRN Work Type: Per Diem As Needed
