Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join our Bridge Engineering team supporting projects across the country! Responsibilities • Produce CAD drawings for public infrastructure bridge projects. • Prepare quantity take-offs from CAD and surface model files. • Prepare reinforcing bar detailing for reinforced concrete structures. • Apply and integrate various client CAD standards into CAD templates. • May develop 3D CAD models for substructures, grading and alignments/profiles. • Assist the engineering and project management team with the development of CAD design methodology and practices. • Perform drawing QA/QC on work products from other CADD design and engineering staff. • Oversee and supervise junior CAD staff. Qualifications • Associate degree in engineering technology or the equivalent years of experience is required. • 8+ years of CAD design experience on bridges; DOT project experience is a plus. • MicroStation proficiency is required; AutoCAD or Civil 3D is a plus. • Experience with Point Clouds, and Digital Delivery methods is a plus. • Desire for continuous learning as technology and CAD platforms change. • Interested in working in a team setting with strong collaboration skills. • Ability to work with team members while working remotely. • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
