Overview The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking a Ski & Snowboard Technician to join our Snow Sports team. This position is responsible for providing guests with a safe, efficient, and enjoyable rental experience while maintaining the quality, organization, and safety of the snow sports rental fleet. The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, detail-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, active environment. Previous skiing or snowboarding experience is preferred but not required. This is a seasonal position with a variety of employee perks and resort benefits. Our core values guide us every day as we work to create lasting memories for every guest. • Long-Term Thinking • Excellence in Execution • Attitude is Everything • Develop Create People • Serve our team members first so they can, in turn, serve our guests and community Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities and Duties • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to guests throughout the rental process. • Properly size and fit guests with ski and snowboard boots, skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and other applicable rental equipment. • Inspect, adjust, clean, organize, and maintain rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards. • Follow established procedures for equipment fitting, adjustments, safety inspections, and rental transactions. • Educate guests on the proper use, care, and safe handling of rental equipment. • Assist guests with equipment exchanges, adjustments, and general rental questions. • Maintain an organized and clean rental area, including proper storage and organization of equipment. • Identify damaged or unsafe equipment and remove it from service according to department procedures. • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, including preparing the rental shop and equipment for operations. • Support the Snow Sports team with fleet maintenance and other operational duties as needed. • Work collaboratively with team members and other resort departments to provide an exceptional guest experience. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED • Customer service experience preferred • Skiing/snowboarding experience preferred • Strong attention to detail and safety • Reliable and team-oriented • Comfortable with physical work and winter weather • Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
