Controller Overview • The Controller will oversee accounting operations, focusing on financial close processes and inventory accounting. • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure compliance with US GAAP and effective internal controls. • Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations across global operations. • Lead and mentor a growing accounting team, fostering professional development and operational excellence. • Enhance inventory recording processes, partnering with supply chain and manufacturing teams. • Support external audits and regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. • Contribute to process improvements, driving efficiency and accuracy in accounting practices. • Utilize advanced ERP systems and Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration and remote flexibility. Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare consolidated financial statements and present results to senior leadership. • Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, cost analysis, and reserve calculations. • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate inventory transaction recording. • Manage external audits, preparing schedules and coordinating with auditors. • Develop and mentor accounting staff, assigning priorities and supporting career growth. • Enhance internal controls and ensure SOX compliance across accounting functions. • Support SEC filings and regulatory reporting with detailed documentation. • Drive process improvements to optimize accounting operations and reporting accuracy. Controller Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required. • 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting background preferred. • Proficiency in inventory accounting, standard costing, and reserve analysis. • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and multi-currency accounting. • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance for accounting and inventory controls. • Advanced skills in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. • Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams. • Healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industry experience preferred. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with competing priorities.
