HEDIS Registered Nurse Overview • The HEDIS Registered Nurse (RN) will perform medical record reviews, data abstraction, and validation for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures. • Support accurate and timely collection of clinical data for regulatory submissions and quality improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with HEDIS reporting standards and data quality requirements. • Utilize multiple electronic medical record (EMR) systems to retrieve and analyze clinical data. • Work in a hybrid environment, with in-office requirements on specific days. • Engage in fast-paced, high-volume tasks while maintaining confidentiality and discretion. • Contribute to the improvement of clinical data processes and HEDIS measure accuracy. • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance HEDIS-related skills. HEDIS Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties • Perform medical record reviews to validate supplemental clinical data for HEDIS measures. • Abstract clinical data from electronic medical records and other sources. • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for HEDIS reporting and submissions. • Analyze and interpret clinical data to identify trends and areas for improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data collection processes. • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information. • Provide expertise on HEDIS measures such as BCS-E, COL-E, and EED. • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives. HEDIS Registered Nurse Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) considered. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in HEDIS medical record review. • Proficiency in using multiple EMR systems, including E Clinical Works (ECW). • Strong knowledge of HEDIS measures such as BCS-E, COL-E, and EED. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills for handling clinical data. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information. • Preferred: 2 years of experience in HEDIS-related roles.
