Cost Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties • Analyze manufacturing, transportation, and overhead costs to identify trends and optimization opportunities. • Maintain accurate product and supply chain costs, including materials, labor, and freight. • Prepare and analyze cost and operational performance reports, including KPI dashboards. • Support budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing and supply chain operations. • Develop financial models to evaluate sourcing decisions and operational initiatives. • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic decisions. • Ensure accurate inventory valuation and controls, supporting inventory planning initiatives. • Drive process improvements in cost accounting and financial reporting practices. Cost Accounting Manager Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred. • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related roles. • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Experience in managing and developing finance and accounting teams is preferred. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally as required. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
