Operating Room Clinical Nurse Manager Overview • The Operating Room Clinical Nurse Manager oversees patient care delivery and clinical operations in a Magnet Designated Hospital environment. • Leads implementation of best practices and patient care delivery models across multiple locations. • Collaborates with physicians, healthcare providers, and teams to ensure optimal and safe patient care. • Manages resources, equipment, supplies, and medications to maintain operational efficiency. • Ensures compliance with clinical standards, licensing requirements, and regulatory guidelines. • Provides clinical supervision and supports professional development of staff. • Facilitates collaboration and communication among multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals. • Supported by four Assistant Nurse Managers to ensure seamless operations and patient care delivery. Operating Room Clinical Nurse Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties • Oversee clinical operations and patient care delivery within a 24/7 operational environment. • Develop and implement strategies for resource allocation and utilization across hospital areas. • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical standards. • Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality and safety objectives. • Manage budgets, payroll, and financial aspects of clinical operations. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and patient care quality. • Develop emergency preparedness and recovery plans for hospital departments. • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for staff. • Monitor performance metrics and align operations with organizational goals. Operating Room Clinical Nurse Manager Job Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. • Minimum five years of experience in patient care delivery and clinical healthcare operations. • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required at hire. • Four years of leadership experience in clinical settings. • Proficiency in managing budgets, resources, and operational initiatives. • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and clinical standards. • Experience in fostering collaboration among healthcare teams and stakeholders. • Ability to lead and implement strategic projects for operational improvement. • Magnet Designated Hospital experience preferred.
